Vince DePietro, of North Cape May, has been appointed executive chef at Cape Regional Medical Center in Cape May Court House.

DePietro has served as executive chef for local restaurants as well as for Marriott International.

He served most recently as general manager of food and nutrition for Sodexo Inc.

The Reeds at Shelter Haven in Stone Harbor has named David O. Utley as its executive chef.

Ultey previously held executive chef positions for Hyatt, Caesars and Intercontinental Hotels Group.

Utley is a graduate of the Educational Institute of the American Culinary Federation with a degree in culinary arts and has been awarded almost 60 culinary competition medals.

He lives in Absecon with his wife, Diana.

Cape May County Tourism Conference

The Cape May County Tourism Conference will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the Sturm Administration Building at 4 Moore Road, Cape May Court House.

Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno will be the keynote speaker.

A panel of Richard Perniciaro, director of the Center for Regional and Business Research at Atlantic Cape Community College; Leonard Desiderio, mayor of Sea Isle City; E. Marie Hayes, freeholder; and Diane Wieland, director of the county Department of Tourism, will be moderated by Freeholder Director Gerald Thornton.

Vineland Chamber gala awards dinner

The Greater Vineland Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual President’s Gala and Awards dinner at 5:30 p.m. May 30 at the Greenview Inn at Eastlyn Golf Course in Vineland.

The 2013 Business of the Year award will be presented to Crust N’ Krumbs Bakery, owned and operated by Ann Cantoni.

Guest speaker will be state New Jersey Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno.

Cost is $75 for members, $85 for nonmembers.
