promotes Zemanik

Vineland-based Capital Bank of New Jersey, has promoted Denise Zemanik to vice president.

She serves as Capital Bank’s Vineland regional manager and is the bank’s security officer.

Before joining Capital Bank in 2007, Zemanik worked at Minotola National Bank for 25 years. She recently graduated from the Leadership Cumberland County program.

Bay authority

appoints Arroyo

The Delaware River and Bay Authority has named Richard H. Arroyo, of Mays Landing, as the agency’s new police administrator effective July 1.

Arroyo was named director of State Park Police for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection in 2008 after serving in the State Police for 25 years.

He has a master’s of science degree in administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Cape May County

chamber luncheon

The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce will business luncheon meeting at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Gioia Ristorante, 3800 Pacific Ave., Wildwood.

An update on the county’s application for a Coast Guard Community designation will be presented by a representative from Coast Guard Training Center Cape May, Freeholder Will Morey, and Cape May Mayor Ed Mahaney Jr.

The Greater Vineland Chamber of Commerce will hold a general membership luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hampton Inn in Vineland.

Vaughan Real of CBIZ/ABP will speak about federal health care reform.

Federal contracting

for small businesses

The Small Business Development Center at Richard Stockton College will present a workshop, Federal Procurement Preference Programs, from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Carnegie Center, 35 S. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Atlantic City.

Businesses will learn how the programs can open the door to federal contracting and about the application process.

Chefs at Shore

The Professional Chef’s Association of South Jersey will hold its annual fundraiser, Chefs at the Shore, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Historic Gardner’s Basin in Atlantic City.

The event will feature signature dishes from area restaurants, cooking demonstrations, live music, a silent auction and and open bar with beer and wine.
