Glenn Insurance is an agency that’s been around for many years, and it’s family oriented.

We offer all lines of insurance, personal such as auto and homeowners, commercial or business insurance, life and health insurance.

We are an independent agency, so we represent many companies and can access quotes from a variety of companies to get customers the best price and coverage possible.

Glenn Insurance is a fourth-generation, family-owned business.

I basically am in charge of the commercial lines department, which consists of 11 customer service representatives.

I assist them, train them and supervise them in the planning and implementation. Part of my oversight is making sure we give the best customer service.

I meet with insurance carriers on a regular basis, staying on top of any changes in their pricing, markets available and coverages.

We’re always going to seminars to increase our skill and knowledge in the industry, trying to earn more designations and credentials.

I have a few insurance credentials already, including AAI, which is an Accredited Advisor in Insurance; CISR, which stands for Certified Insurance Service Representative; and I also have CPIW, which is Certified Professional Insurance Woman, which you get through the National Association of Insurance Women. I was president of NAIW of Atlantic County from 1989 to 1991.

Entry: I’ve been working in insurance from the day I graduated from high school 38 years ago, working for a life insurance company and then transferring to property and casualty insurance.

I just celebrated my 25th anniversary with Glenn Insurance last November.

About me: I love to spoil my two granddaughters, ages 8 and 3, and I spend every moment I can with them. I also like to garden and read.

Been working with the Press for about 27 years.
