TDS stands for Telephone Diagnostics Services, a telecommunications services company. We are an Avaya expert business partner. We concentrate on phone systems for business.
We also have a hosted solution, which means your phone system runs off of an Internet connection.
We’ve been in business since 1984.
Our Avaya solution is a premises-based system. Avaya is the No. 1 small business telephone system.
We were a legacy Nortel shop before Avaya purchased Nortel, which gave us a head start.
Our hosted solution is cloud-based. In 2010, we secured our own switch in the cloud (or online network). Now we have about 150 clients in the hosted solution. We have about 2,000 customers throughout the United States.
One of our largest customers is Schindler Elevator. We handle about 180 of its offices throughout the U.S. We also do voice and data networks for about 300 schools.
Entry: We had just a satellite office down here for four or five years. Recently, we’ve done a ton of business, including the fire, police and city hall of North Wildwood. We ended up saving them about $2,500 a month with the new Avaya phone system.
We’ve also done the John Brooks Recovery Center in Atlantic City, as well as Jewish Family Services. Today, we just completed Cape Counseling, with about 300 users.
About two months ago, we completed Jersey Shore Gastroenterology, incorporating its Somers Point, Egg Harbor Township and Cape May offices.
The last 10 years, the phone, computer and cellphone have all blended together. You can connect all three and get all of your messages right away. It’s a great tool.
The future: There are not a lot of companies that do what we do. Since we’ve opened up, business has exceeded my expectations.
The next phase is video. Avaya just purchased RadVision, leader in communication video technology.
