Hospitality Trade Show Tuesday in Atlantic City

The 2013 Atlantic City Hospitality Trade Show will be held Tuesday at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, in conjunction with the East Coast Gaming Congress.

The show is presented by the Atlantic City Hotel & Lodging Association and the Greater Atlantic City Chamber. The exhibit floor will be open from 11:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Admission is free and includes access to the East Coast Gaming Congress keynote presentation by Casino Association of New Jersey President Tony Rodio, as well as two panel discussions, “Before and After: Recreating Casino/Hotel Destinations,” and “State Lotteries: What’s Next?”

The Trade Show brings together casino buyers and vendors in the areas of food and beverage, hotel operations, construction, housekeeping, uniforms and marketing/advertising.

A.C. chamber plans 27th Golf Classic

The Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce will hold its 27th annual Invitational Golf Classic on May 31 at Stockton Seaview Hotel & Golf Club.

The event will be held with the ShopRite LPGA Classic.

Each participant will get two weekly clubhouse passes; access to the chamber hospitality suite overlooking the 17th green with food and beverage from 2 to 7 p.m. to watch first-round LPGA action; 20 percent discount on tournament merchandise; and merchandise coupon book.

LPGA professionals Leta Lindley and Jaclyn Sweeney will join chamber participants in hitting tee shots at two holes.

Check-in begins at 7 a.m. with shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., followed by a cocktail party and luncheon at 1 p.m.

Cape chamber plans golf event

The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Golf Classic on June 5 at Avalon Golf Club.

The bramble format with a 1 p.m. shotgun start features a “dine and play” on the course with six contests.

Tournament registration is $150 and includes food and beverage tastings on the course and hors d’oeuvres during the awards reception. Check-in at 11:30 a.m.

Bar association fundraiser in A.C.

The Atlantic County Bar Association will hold a “Rockin’ the Kitchen” event at the House of Blues in Atlantic City at 7 p.m. June 7.

The Works, a band composed of local lawyers and friends, will perform and members of the bar association, and local luminaries will join the band on stage.

Last year’s event raised $50,000 for Sister Jean’s Kitchen and the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.

Tickets at $40 include dinner, artist corner and silent auction.
