Springtime Sparkle Cleaning Service is a full-service cleaning company, doing residential, commercial and carpet cleaning.
We offer weekly service, biweekly, monthly, move-in and move-out cleaning, post-construction cleanup and summer changeover cleanups.
If it needs to be cleaned, pretty much, we clean it.
For residential cleaning, pricing depends on the home and what the owners want done. We have a basic checklist we go through, which is pretty comprehensive except for windows. We do windows as an add-on, but will do exterior windows only if they tilt in.
Our weekly and biweekly prices are the same, and cleaning just monthly is a little more. Weekly and biweekly rates range from $50 up to $115. That covers typically from one to four bedrooms.
We're targeting office cleaning right now. We're a new company and don't have the means yet to do warehouse and industrial settings.
Our commercial rate is 5 to 55 cents per square foot for monthly contracts, depending on the size of the building and the services being requested. The bigger the building, the lower the rate.
We have two carpet machines and most of our carpet cleaning is residential so far. Our rate for that is about $30 a room, with no minimum.
Right now we're serving all of South Jersey, from Camden County all the way to Ocean, Atlantic and Cape May counties.
We have a window special right now through the end of September, charging $4 a window.
We also offer 10 percent off for any client who signs up for regular service, as opposed to one-time service.
Finding good help has been a challenge so far. It's definitely hard work, harder than cleaning your own home.
Entry: I worked in restaurants for 15 years until April. I needed to make more money, so my wife and I dropped everything, quit our jobs and started this cleaning business.
We chose cleaning because it's relatively easy to get started and she had prior experience in the cleaning industry.
The future: We'd like to grow and get into bigger commercial properties such as grocers, drug stores and department stores. We'd also like to expand our service to shore rentals.
