Blue Heron Pines is a semi-private, 18-hole golf course. We have about 120 members, but we're also open to the public.

We were 34th among the top 50 courses in the country as ranked by Golf World Magazine.

When Ron Jaworski bought the course, he focused on the outside first. He made repairs, got the course into great shape, made it more playable.

Then we focused on catering and events.

He always wanted to do something with what was then the View tavern and improve it.

He's had the idea for 7 Tap & Tavern for a long time. He loves the "Cheers" social atmosphere, with a buzz and people interacting.

Seven is the number he wore with the Eagles, and we've also honored many others who wore the number.

We went from three draft beers to 12, and eight of them are craft beers. That's such a popular thing now.

Some of the food is traditional pub fare, but we put a twist on it, made it a little different. For example, we have a grilled cheese burger.

We have some really upscale foods, some dinners where we do a center-cut pork loin, a certified angus filet, a center-cut Pacific salmon.

Our signature French fry is a Buffalo fry, premium cut. We ate samples for a week straight because we wanted them to hold the seasonings the right way. They're topped with blue cheese crumbles.

We have happy hour daily from 4 to 6 p.m., with $2 draft beers and $5 cold drinks, and eight items off the menu we serve for $5. We offer half off bottles on wine on Wednesdays.

At the 7 Tap, you get a great view of the No. 9 green, and on the other side the first tee and the practice putting and chipping green.

Just outside one door is a patio, and when it's nice we offer service out there as well.

The future: Starting in May, we're going to offer a little bit of live music, Thursdays through the weekend.
