Variety of exhibits at Galloway GreenFest

The Go Green Galloway Task Force and the Absegami Earth Shepherd student group will lead the first-ever Galloway GreenFest on June 1 at Historic Smithville Village.

The event will feature green workshops, a Fair Trade Bazaar, organic products, green vendors, environmental community groups, a Farm Fresh Market, the Go Green Kids Activity Place and a Seaview Trails Bike Zone.

Entertainment will be provided by the Absegami Earth Shepherds, who are sponsoring "Absegami Unplugged," featuring local student talent. The closing act at 3 p.m. will be the special guest band "Either Way."

Displays will include businesses that exemplify aspects of living in an environmentally positive manner, as will environmentally focused community groups.

Nonfood vendors will sell only items that are eco-friendly and sustainably produced. Food items available will be all natural and preferably organic.

Galloway GreenFest will be co-sponsored by the Atlantic County Utilities Authority and the Galloway Township Business Association.

Marketing luncheon

When Revel Entertainment wanted to revamp its marketing strategy, the resort company brought in a "dream team" - the Fine Point Group.

This innovative organization of former casino executives has taken casino marketing to a higher level.

A presentation on how they do it and a glimpse of what could be in store at Revel will be the subject of the Tuesday meeting of the Public Relations Council of Atlantic City.

Randall Fine, managing director of the Fine Point Group, will be the featured speaker.

The PR Council's luncheon program will be held in the Ocean D room at Revel, on the Meeting Room Level - one level below the lobby and one level above the casino.
