This year’s annual awards dinner and installation of officers for the Greater Atlantic City Chamber will be special.

The dinner March 27 at Stockton Seaview Hotel & Golf Club will  commemorate the chamber’s centennial anniversary of serving area businesses.

Since 1914, the chamber has been dedicated to creating a favorable economic climate and providing services for the business community.

With about 800 members, the chamber is Atlantic County’s pre-eminent organization of citizens and business people. Together, they work to foster economic growth and an enhanced quality of life.

The event will honor two figures in the business community, Kenneth J. Calemmo and Tony Rodio.

Calemmo, chief operating officer of Cooper Levenson Attorneys at Law, will be honored as Community Leader of the Year. Rodio, president/CEO of Tropicana Casino and Resort, will be honored as Business Leader of the Year.

“We invite everyone in the business community to join us for what promises to be an exceptional event honoring two exceptional individuals,” chamber President Joe Kelly said in a statement. “The fact that Seaview is also celebrating its 100-year anniversary in 2014 makes it even more fitting.”

Presenting sponsors for the program are Atlantic City Electric, Cooper Levenson, the ShopRite LPGA Classic and Tropicana Atlantic City. Century Sponsors are TD Bank and The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. Founding sponsors are AtlantiCare, Cape Bank, Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, South Jersey Industries and Willis of Pennsylvania.
