Atlantic Cape Community College will present two social media workshops, "Social Media 101: The Fundamentals" on Thursday and "Social Media and Internet Marketing" on April 24 at the Mays Landing campus.

Both courses will be led by Susan Adelizzi-Schmidt, president of Suasion Communications Group, an marketing and public relations agency in Somers Point.

"Social Media 101: The Fundamentals" will focus on the basics of social media and how to use the various platforms, an essential 21st Century skill.

Students will learn how to register, create meaningful content and engage with the audience through various sites.

The follow-up workshop, "Social Media and Internet Marketing," will examine how social media creatively contributes to a firm's marketing strategy.

"Understanding social media and its role in your business is no longer an option, it is a necessity," Esther Gandica, Atlantic Cape senior manager of continuing education, said in a statement. "We are delighted that Susan has agreed to share her practical knowledge as a marketing professional and successful business owner with our students in preparing them to reach their personal and professional goals."
