CPW Creative Communications is a small agency specializing in digital media, website design and social media management, as well as email marketing.

I also do print design. I've designed the Cape May Visitors Guide for the past two years.

I did the website for Willow Creek Winery in Cape May as well as design their label. I designed the website for Mid Hudson Sporting Clays in New York. I also do the digital newsletter for the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Cape May.

I'm the Constant Contact local expert for South Jersey. I received a Constant Contact All Star Award, which means I'm in the Top 10 percent for click-through rates and open rates among 500,000 Constant Contact customers.

I do a lot of education about email marketing and social media. I speak to chambers of commerce and business groups, mainly about how to grow a business.

My clients are small- to medium-sized businesses. I have contracts with some, and with others I work project by project or on a longer-term basis, depending on the client's needs.

One thing I like is the work is ever changing. I enjoy engaging with different clients and helping them overcome some of the hurdles I've seen in my many years in business.

Part of the challenge is finding the time to promote your own business, because you're always working for others.

It's also a challenge when you work from home. It can be hard to find a good balance between work and the rest of your life, because you always feel you could be doing something more for your clients.

When I had an office in the city, at 6 o'clock it was time to go home and have home time.

Entry: I was a print publisher for 22 years, the former publisher of The Ritz Film Bill in Philadelphia and The Angelika Film Bill in Manhattan, specialty publications for independent films.

Paper costs kept getting too high, and I thought digital options would be the future of the business.

Future plans: I hope to add video production, so I'm trying to build those skills because I see that as advancing the interests of my clients.
