Cumberland Green has 280 apartments. Right now we’re undergoing a full renovation process. We’re renovating every apartment as it becomes available.
We’re putting in new maple cabinets, granite-like countertops, and all new appliances.
We also have a brand-new clubhouse, with a fitness center with new equipment and large screen TVs, as well as a business center and wifi cafe. We have a pool, tennis courts and playground.
Cumberland Green has four floor plans from 800 to 1,125 square feet, and prices range right now from $950 to $1,375 a month. We do offer apartments with or without full-sized washers and dryers, and we are pet friendly — no restrictions on dog size or breed.
I do the leasing and get people into their future homes. I bring in as much traffic as possible and get our name out there.
I also reach out to anyone who might be transferring here from across the country, going to local businesses, working the Internet, sending out fliers.
Entry: I used to be a conference manager for a company, putting together accounting conferences nationally that required continuing education courses.
Then I got laid off because of the economy, and did some waitressing and bartending. From experience, I knew finding an apartment can be exciting and wanted to help people, so I applied here.
Trying to promote an apartment community when there are so many in the area can be challenging. A lot of people are trying to decide whether a house or apartment is right for them, so you have to make the advantages of having an apartment clear. We take care of maintenance, snow removal, everything.
Career goals: Eventually I’d like to move up in the ranks in the multifamily housing industry.
About me: I love music and going to concerts. I’m a huge animal enthusiast. I’d love to work with penguins one day. And my absolute favorite thing is spending time with my family and my son.
