You don't have to be rich and famous to buy this beachfront home in Longport. You just have to be rich. With 143-feet of ocean frontage and 11,000 square feet of living space, it carries a price tag of $12.3 million.

Previous owners have been both rich and famous. The rich include U.S. Healthcare founder Leonard Abramson and real estate developers David Cutler and Michael Pouls. The famous was Channel 6 News anchor Monica Malpass, Cutler's ex-wife.

Custom built for Abramson in 1990, the house is currently bank-owned and under the control of a court-appointed receiver. The 3-story structure occupies three beachfront lots and has nine bedrooms, 10 full baths, a movie theater, two saunas and eight zones of heat and central air conditioning. It features a 60-foot-long oceanfront lap pool, a 4-car garage and an elevator with stops in the family room, movie theater and rooftop deck.

"When it was built it was one of the nicest houses on the entire East Coast," says D.J. Gluck, who owns Soleil Sotheby's International, which is marketing the property.

Meticulously maintained by a management company, the exterior of the house features natural materials including a slate roof, cedar shingled walls, and a wood deck and railings. A circular paver stone driveway leads to the front door, which opens into the elegant foyer. Hardwood floors extend through the enormous 2-story family room, which has a coffered ceiling, wide columns and a wall of windows that offer a majestic view of the ocean.

The kitchen has a massive granite island and is equipped with two Wolf ranges, two dishwashers, separate refrigerator and freezer and two wine coolers. A first-floor master suite includes a private office with access to the rear deck. The master bedroom has a multi-level tray ceiling and a large hand-painted mural. Immense his and hers walk-in closets are lined with built-in drawers and shelves. The master bath has a whirlpool tub and separate saunas and a steam rooms.

"You can do your laps in the pool and then go into the steam room and sauna room," says Kate Burke, a Realtor with Sotheby's.

A side door from the pool area leads to a full bathroom, a laundry room and a sauna room. There are two sets of stairs, including an exotic spiral staircase in the foyer. The den has a vaulted tray ceiling, built-in wood cabinets and a wood-burning fireplace.

The second floor features a long, curving balcony that overlooks the great room. A large bedroom suite includes a separate billiards room and a full bathroom. There's also another laundry room. All the second-floor bedrooms have access to one of the multiple decks that overlook the ocean, the bay and the rooftops of Longport.

The movie theater is located on the third floor and features sound-proofed walls, four plush built-in chairs and a large drop-down screen. Also on the third floor is a game room, a powder room and an oversized bedroom with private bath that would be ideal for a live-in maid.

The rooftop deck is accessed from the elevator or a spiral staircase. It features a truly panoramic view of the ocean, Atlantic City skyline, Ocean City and the causeway leading across the bay to Somers Point.

There are many more luxury amenities including electronically controlled window blinds that can be raised and lowered with the flick of a switch, and a generator that automatically kicks in following an electrical outage and powers the entire house.
