INVITATION FOR BID THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC CITY, NEW JERSEY will receive Sealed Bids for Landscape Maintenance & On-Call Snow Removal and Ice Control on the 17th Floor Purchasing Office, Jeffries Towers 227 N. Vermont Avenue, Atlantic City, New Jersey, Thursday, March 14, 2013 @ 10:00 AM at which time and place, all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids must be submitted in SEALED ENVELOPES addressed to Robert Fitzgerald, Director of Finance, and clearly marked on the outside (IFB #13-005 Landscape Maintenance & On-Call Snow Removal and Ice Control.) Copies of the documents may be obtained from the Atlantic City Housing Authority Purchasing Office, 17th Floor, Jeffries Tower, 227 N. Vermont Ave. Atlantic City, NJ 08401, Monday through Friday, between 9:30AM and 4:00PM beginning Monday, March 4, 2013 or at the Housing Authority web site http://www.atlanticcityha.org/Solicitations.html. All Bids are to be submitted with one (1) original and two (2) copies. A certified check or bank draft payable to the order of the ATLANTIC CITY HOUSING AUTHORITY, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds, or a satisfactory Bid Bond, executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in the amount of ten percent (10%) of bid, not to exceed $20,000.00 shall be submitted with each bid. The Housing Authority shall have the right, in addition to retaining the amount of the Bid Security, to proceed against the bidder for any additional damages, which may occur due to the bidder's refusal or failure to enter into a contract. At the execution of the contract, the successful bidder shall furnish the owner with a Certificate of Insurance evidencing that the required policies are in force and in effect. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the Contract documents must be paid on the project, and that the Contractor must insure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, creed, or national origin. The Housing Authority of the City of Atlantic City reserves the right to reject all bids, in accordance to N.J.S.A.40A:11-13.2 (Local Public Contracts Law). No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to opening bids, without consent of the Housing Authority of the City of Atlantic City.
