THE BOROUGH OF BUENA, in Atlantic County, is interested in receiving applications for open and anticipated vacancies. The Borough is approximately eight square miles with approximately 4,000 residents. CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER Anticipated retirement. One position, Full or Part-time considered, on-site, with CMFO certification required. Responsibilities include all statutory duties, payroll (CASA payroll experience is a plus), purchasing, overseeing the preparation of the Borough's annual budget, the management of grants, debt management, serving as the certifying officer for pensions, management of CAMPS(Civil Service) reporting and banking. The applicant must be proficient with Edmunds Financial Software System and Microsoft Office. The successful applicant will work closely with municipal personnel, engineers, auditors, and attorneys. Salary will be commensurate with experience and size of municipality. PUBLIC SAFETY DIRECTOR New position. One position, Part-time. Responsibilities shall be as head of the Department, shall have general supervision and direction thereof and shall take such measures as he may deem necessary for the preservation of peace and good order and the enforcement of the laws of the State of New Jersey and the ordinances of the Borough of Buena. Nothing herein shall empower the Director of Police to perform those duties which are reserved to law enforcement personnel. The Public Safety Director will work closely with the Officer- In- Charge of uniformed personnel. The successful candidate will have police experience in excess of twenty years and will have previously attained the rank of Sergeant in State Police Service or Lieutenant in Municipal Police Service. Salary will be commensurate with experience and size of municipality. LABORER 1 (ROAD DEPARTMENT) Retirement. One position, Full-time.
