The Borough of West Wildwood has an immediate opening for the position of a police officer to serve in a supervisory role as "Officer in Charge". The Borough of West Wildwood is a non-civil service police department and operates under a commission form of government. The position is that of a supervisory position and the successful candidate must be willing to work a tour of duty, answer calls for service and perform all the duties of a police officer. The Borough of West Wildwood is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Minimum requirements are three years of experience as a full time police officer in addition to two years serving in a supervisory role. Applicant must have a valid NJ Police Training Commission Certificate and be eligible to enroll in the NJ Police and Fire Pension System. Applicant must successfully complete a background investigation which may include a polygraph, physical, psychological and drug testing. Applicant must be a United States Citizen and possess a valid New Jersey driver's license.
