Since opening this past summer, Harry's Oyster Bar and Seafood at Bally's Atlantic City, has made its mark. On New Year's Eve, it's aiming for distinction as one of the area's most enjoyable places to wine, dine and party - without breaking the bank.
"We are offering our full menu, as well as some special add-ons, and there won't be a cover charge or special package you have to purchase," promises co-owner Maureen Shay. "We'll have plenty of drink specials, as well as live music by Patty Blee and Ernie Trionfo - and it wouldn't be New Year's Eve without a complimentary glass of champagne at midnight."
Raise a glass to 2011, look forward to 2012, and begin a bright New Year at Harry's. The live music on New Year's Eve begins at 7 p.m. Crawl back New Year's Day for recovery, starting at noon.
Friday, Dec. 30: Tom Pacitti, 7 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 31: New Year's Eve Party with live music by Patti Blee and Ernie Trionfo, no package purchase required. Happy hour 4 to 7 p.m., including $2 Bud Light drafts, $2 Dos Equis bottles, $5 house red and white wine and $1 Malpeque oysters. Enjoy a complimentary champagne toast at midnight, no cover, music begins at 7 p.m.

Happy Hour: Harry's happy hour is offered daily from 4 to 7 p.m. and includes discounts on select beers, wines and oysters. Enjoy $1 oysters on Wednesdays, and whenever the NFL is on, so are Harry's appetizer specials - 50-cent wings and $1 sliders.
Seasonal Sips: "Our specialty cocktails change seasonally," Shay begins. "In the summer we have an extensive frozen drink list, but our current menu includes our Candy Cane Martini, made with Stoli vanilla, peppermint Schnapps and club soda, or our Nuts and Berries Cocktail, made with Frangelico, Chambord and cream." Shay also noted the Pom Cran Cosmo and The Grinch as favorite, wintertime drinks.
About Harry's: "Harry's was named for Harry Dougherty, who opened Dock's Oyster House in 1897," Shay says. "Our concept was to recreate the type of old-time seafood house that my great grandfather, Harry Dougherty, brought to Atlantic City more than 100 years ago. The focus has always been - and continues to be - on fresh and affordable seafood, served in a fun, friendly atmosphere. We also love that we are now able to offer outdoor dining, being in the courtyard of the Dennis Hotel."
