Mayor Leonard Desiderio and his family will host the annual Sea Isle City Columbus Day parade Saturday, Oct. 7.

The parade will begin 2 p.m. in front of the Sea Isle City Italian-American Club on JFK Boulevard next to the Sea Isle bridge, travel east to Landis Avenue and then turn south on Landis to 63rd Street.

The parade will feature representatives from the Knights of Columbus Madonna Maria Council and the Sea Isle City Italian American Club, the Ocean City High School Marching Band, veterans, Scout troops, local businesses and pageant winners, and the city’s 2017 “Italian royal family.”

The marchers will also include local dignitaries, Sea Isle’s Police, Ambulance and Fire departments and the Cape May County Sheriff’s Department – with Dodge the Horse, McGruff the Crime Dog and Eddie the Eagle.

At 63rd Street the parade will join up with the annual Italian Festival, which runs 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at Kix McNutley’s. There will be food, merchandise vendors, live music, free raffles, a cannoli eating contest and other entertainment.
