An Absecon man was convicted Thursday of a series of sexual assaults committed over the past 16 years against five boys throughout the region.

Brian E. Killion, 41, of Absecon, was convicted in Superior Court in Mays Landing of 34 charges that included aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and possession and manufacturing of child pornography, said Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain.

He was convicted after a three week trial which included testimony from the victims who said Killion assaulted them at his home, at their homes and on camping trips. He was arrested in July 2010 and authorities obtained child pornography in his possession.

The victims ages ranged from 11 to 15 years old at the time of the assaults.

Killion who met one of his victims while he served as a scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America, will be sentenced once he completes an evaluation required for sex offenders at the Avenel Adult Diagnostic & Treatment Center.
