Absecon police have released a composite sketch of a man they say impersonated a police officer to conduct a motorvehicle stop Monday.

Police said the man stopped a 24-year-old Brigantine woman at Absecon Boulevard and Turner Avenue at 10:45 p.m.

The suspect requested to search the victim’s car and after doing so left in an SUV. The vehicle had a dashboard emergency light, police said.

The suspect is described as a white man approximately 6 feet tall with a skinny build. He has blond hair and brown eyes and he was clean-shaven. He was wearing a navy blue shirt. Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact the Detective C. L. Gadd at 609-641-0667 ext. 216 or Crime Stoppers at 609-652-1234
