Gov. Chris Christie made multiple appointments of local residents this week.
The appointments include:
William J. Polistina, of Galloway Township, and Gregory S. Sykora, of Somers Point, to the Atlantic County Board of Taxation.
Vito A. Gagliardi Sr., of Mantoloking, to the New Jersey Educational Facilities Authority
Brian McEwing, of North Cape May, to the New Jersey Maritime Pilot and Docking Pilot Commission
Flora M. Castillo, of Ventnor, to the New Jersey Transit Corporation
Martin L. Pagliughi, of Avalon, to the Tidelands Resource Council
Christie also filed a notice of intention to nominate former Absecon Mayor Peter C. Elco to the South Jersey Transportation Authority.
