The Clayton Block store at 705 S. New Road (Route 9) in Absecon has closed.
The closing leaves the Lakewood-based company with 10 other locations throughout New Jersey, including Waretown, Ocean Township, and West Creek, Eagleswood Township, in Ocean County.
The phone number for the former Absecon store now rings at the Waretown location, where staff said the building supply company will still make deliveries to areas previously served by the closed store.
Besides building blocks, the yard sold hardscape materials that are also made by the company.
Parent corporation Clayton Companies also sells brick, concrete, sand and major tools.
