Singer to perform at Irish American group

Tom Brett, a native of Tubbercurry, County Sligo, Ireland, will be the featured entertainer at the January meeting of the Irish American Cultural Society on Jan. 21. Accompanying himself on the guitar, Mr. Brett will perform a mixture of ballads, songs of immigration and the occasional “rebel song.”

The meeting, beginning at 7:30, will be held at the Absecon American Legion Hall, New Jersey Avenue and Mill Road.

The meeting is free and open to the public.
