Community Affairs supports Green Team

The Absecon Community Affairs Committee has announced that as of May 1, it supports Absecon’s Green Team in trying to reduce the city’s carbon footprint.

The Green Team’s initiative is to “encourage the people and institutions of Absecon to cooperatively adopt the fundamental principles of sustainability and to develop the important policies and practices that fulfill those principles.” In support of that, the committee is reaching out to young residents and adults to take an active part in the initiative. Green Citizen Entry Forms will be available for those who ride bikes or walk to an event sponsored by the committee, or any event with which they are networking. The entry form box will be present at each event. In December, the committee will draw the names of the winners.
