Cedar Creek High School prom fundraiser set

Chapman Ford Lincoln Mazda and the Cedar Creek High School Project Prom Committee have announced that they will conduct a "Drive 4 UR School" event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 15.

The national Ford Drive 4 UR School program helps schools raise money by conducting a test-drive fundraising event. For every valid test-drive completed, Ford Motor Co. will donate $20 to the Cedar Creek Project Prom Committee, up to $6,000.

The Project Prom Committee, made up of teachers and parents, is raising money to provide a safe, drug and alcohol free lock-in after the prom. Students will return to the school cafeteria after the prom for an evening of food, entertainment and prizes. The festivities are provided through fundraising efforts and donations from parents and local businesses.

The entire community is invited to take the wheel and drive for Cedar Creek Project Prom. Anyone individuals must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license, and should report to the rear of the school to participate. No purchase necessary.
