Absecon
9/11 remembrance planned
On Sept. 10, Absecon will honor those who died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks on 2001.
The event is presented by the newly formed Community Affairs Committee and is a collaboration of several organizations. Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts will place flags, and a full program will begin at 6 p.m. Participants will attend from the Absecon American Legion Post 28, VFW Post 9462 Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Post 9462 Color Guard and the Absecon Fire Department. The event will take place in Public Safety Park, next to the Absecon Fire House at the corner of Route 30 and New Road.
