Group continues effort for seniors-only Absecon Gardens

The Save Absecon Committee is continuing its effort to have Absecon Gardens approved for seniors only.

On April 4, City Council passed on first reading an amendment to the Redevelopment Plan that removes the age restriction for Absecon Gardens, and at the April 18 meeting, City Council tabled the second reading/vote for consideration at a meeting either May 2 or May 16, SAC said.

The group urges Absecon residents to attend. SAC said that to learn if the issue will be on the agenda, residents can call City Hall at 609-641-0663 or see absecon-newjersey.org/meeting_agendas.php, click on the agenda, and look for 2013 Ordinance 03 Adopting Plan: Redevelopment Area 1: CBD Redevelopment Area.
