Absecon
New recycling schedule
The city of Absecon will have a new recycling schedule for 2013 that started on Jan 7. The recycling will continue to be every two weeks, but now recycling will be collected on the same day as trash. Trash and recycling will be collected on the same day, every two weeks.
In addition, the city of Absecon will end the cleanup operation from Sandy on Dec. 31. No more noncontainerized yard waste can be placed in the street after that date. There will be yard-waste collection during the week of Jan. 21. The ACUA will collect Christmas trees as well as containerized yard waste
