City reimbursed for derecho losses
Absecon will be reimbursed about $55,000 for losses incurred during the June 29 derecho and expenses it incurred in the days that followed, the city said in a news release. This is 75 percent of the total lost or spent by the city, the city said.
The city also thanked residents, whose patience and cooperation were greatly appreciated during the cleanup.
