A Pleasantville man was charged with obstruction after an alleged hit-and-run accident early Sunday morning, Absecon police say.

Police say a beige Toyota 4Runner was traveling at a high rate of speed in the westbound lanes of Route 30 at about 12 a.m. when it struck a 2005 Hyundai Elantra. The collision caused the Hyundai to travel off the roadway and overturn in a marsh.

Witnesses observed a male exit the Toyota and flee from the scene on foot.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 28-year-old female from Cranbury, Middlesex County, was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Campus for treatment.

Ramon Quintanilla, 29, of Pleasantville, later attempted to report his vehicle stolen from his residence. After investigating the claim, Absecon police charged Quintanilla with obstruction and several motor vehicle summonses.

The incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police at 609-641-0667.
