An Absecon man accused of sexual assaulting five boys over 13 years went on trial this week.

Brian Killion, 39, was indicted in 2011 on charges including aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, aggravated criminal sexual contact, possession of obscene material and manufacturing child pornography, said a release from the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.

Killion allegedly preyed on young boys dating to 1997, molesting them on camping trips and taking explicit photos of them in his North Shore Road home, according to the charges. He also allegedly used bribes of money and Broadway trips to hide his assaults.

The trial is expected to last about two weeks before Superior Court Judge Bernard DeLury. Killion also faces federal charges for allegedly manufacturing child pornography.
