Cicali graduates

The following student was among the graduates May 22 from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.

Brian Cicali, of Absecon, graduated with a bachelor of science in pharmacology and toxicology degree.

Students on dean’s list at Delaware

Students named to the University of Delaware’s dean’s list for spring 2013 included Christopher Polisano, of Absecon.

To be eligible, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.33 or above for the semester.

Students on dean’s list at Rowan

Students who earned a 3.45 grade point average or above for the spring 2013 semester at Rowan University and received dean’s list honors included:

Courtney Julia Baginski, Leah Flora Feldman, Angela R Gwathney, Danielle Nicole Martin, Brianna Mary Quigley, Laura Kaitlin Shamus, Teresa Kathleen Stearns, Teighan M Sykes, Mia Ann Tallone and Lauren Ashley Tomlinson, all of Absecon.

McHugh students win

Bishop McHugh Regional Catholic School students placed first in the region at the eighth-grade level and second in the region at the sixth-grade level for the New Jersey Math League.

The region covers Cape May, Cumberland and Atlantic counties. Eighth-graders Christopher Gibson and Thomas Henry placed as top students in the region, and sixth-grader Rory McDermott placed second for top students in the region. The eighth-graders received a plaque for their effort.

Eighth-grader Alex Sakena placed in the top 10 percent for Math Olympiad at the middle school level, and received a trophy and a silver pin.

Tom Henry and Aidan Sorensen also were recognized and awarded patches for scoring in the top 50th percentile.
