Americorps volunteers stationed in Brigantine are looking for volunteers and community partners to help with storm relief efforts.

"We work on general labor and mucking out houses of anyone who has had any storm damage," said Americorps member Zola Pineles. "We have people who came in from Minnesota, Washington, California, through different Americorps programs and they are all helping to get installation, mold out, drywall. We're doing all that free of charge and so we're doing canvassing of the neighborhood to see where the hardest hit areas are. We're sending in work crews to try to get those things taken care of."

Pineles said she believes Americorps volunteers will be stationed locally until at least February.

Anyone interested in volunteering can contact the volunteer reception center at 609-508-2189.
