An Atlantic City man was shot in the area of Carver Hall in Atlantic City on Sunday night, less than 26 hours after another shooting around the corner.

The man, identified as Dayshawn Brown, 18, was found seated on the porch of a residence on the 500 block of N. South Carolina Avenue, Sgt. Monica McMenamin said. He was conscious but unable to provide a description of the suspect.

Brown was taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for a gunshot wound to his hip. He was listed in stable condition as of 12:30 a.m. and is expected to live.

This is the second shooting at Carver Hall this weekend. At about 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Rasheed Royster, 22, was shot on the 1300 block of Caspian Avenue at about 8:15 p.m. Saturday. He remains in critical condition at the Atlantic City hospital.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Detective Bureau at 347-5766. Information may also be given anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 652-1234.
