Atlantic City police arrest Pleasantville man for alleged possession of heroin, a gun.

A Pleasantville man was arrested Tuesday for alleged possession of nine grams of heroin and a semiautomatic handgun, according to Atlantic City police.

Reed L. Bell, 24, was arrested following a two month investigation by Atlantic City Police Detective Paul Petinga, according to a release from Atlantic City police. Petinga was aided in the investigation by Pleasantville Police Detective Chris Taggart.

Atlantic City SWAT Team and Special Investigations Section performed a warranted search of in the east block of Redwood Avenue in Pleasantville.

The heroin seized has a street value of about $3,000. About $16,000 in cash, believed to be the proceeds of drug trade, was also seized.

Bell was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $20,000.00 full cash bail.
