Atlantic City police investigating armed robbery

Police are investigating an armed robbery at Steel’s Fudge on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City this afternoon.

The robbery occurred at about 3:25 p.m. at the store on the 2700 block of the Boardwalk, Sgt. Monica McMenamin said. A gun was reportedly seen and an undisclosed amount of cash and change taken.

The suspect is described as a thin-built, light-skinned black or Hispanic male with freckles in his 20s, according to the report. He was last seen wearing a dark hat with a hoodie overtop a light green jacket, dark pants and a scarf over his mouth.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 609-347-5766 or Crime Stoppers at 60-652-1234. Information may also be texted anonymously to tip411 (847411) beginning the text with ACPD.
