Four Atlantic City police officers lifted a car off of a pedestrian who had been struck Monday night.

An elderly man from Margate was turning his vehicle from Winchester Avenue onto Albany Avenue at 8:27 p.m., and due to some snow and low visibility he struck two female pedestrians, said Lt. Ralph Meyers, of the city's Police Department.

An elderly female was pinned underneath the car and four responding officers lifted the vehicle off of her, Meyers said. She was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City for a possible broken ankle, he said.

The other pedestrian had minor injuries and was treated at the scene, he said.

The accident was under investigation, he said.
