Atlantic City police said there has been a recent increase in residential and car burglaries.

The incidents have occurred at all times of day and many different neighborhoods, including North Virginia Avenue, North Massachusetts Avenue, Emerson Avenue, East Riverside Drive, Boston Avenue, Delancy Avenue and several homes in the area of North Michigan Avenue, police said.

Items such as televisions, Kindles, camcorders, jewelry and small portable electronics have been reported stolen, police said.

Police are urging residents to be vigilant and if they see someone suspicious to contact police immediately.
