Crews were cleaning up a spill Tuesday night of 50 gallons of hydraulic fluid into the Absecon Bay near Rhode Island Avenue.

The Coast Guard responded to an overturned crane in the bay around 6:30 p.m. that leaked the fluid into the water. A local environmental control team responded and deployed two small sections of containment boom to prevent the fluid from spreading.
