PLEASANTVILLE - An early morning fire caused serious damage to a home on West Bayview Avenue.

At 1:25 a.m. firefighters were called to 404 W. Bayview Ave., according to Pleasantville Fire Department.

When firefighters got there, the entire front of the home was in flames. Everyone in the home escaped but one person did suffer a minor injury and was taken to AtlantiCare Medical Center's City Division.

Firefighters Adrian Mobley and Eric Moran reportedly ran into the home and rescued two dogs from the basement during the fire.

There was no immediate word on what caused the fire, which was under control by 2 a.m.
