A memorial service will be held Saturday for an Atlantic City man who was fatally struck biking home from his second job.

Tariq Davis, 26, was struck by a tractor-trailer at Melrose and Rhode Island avenues at about 8:10 p.m. last Thursday.

The name of the driver has not been released pending an investigation into the crash. So far, no summonses have been issued.

A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Mikal's Funeral Parlor at 30 N. Pennsylvania Ave. in the city.

Davis, who was known as "Riq," was heading home from Eastern Pines Convalescent Center, where his supervisor there said he was well-liked by residents. During the day, he worked construction.

He is survived by his wife, Shakera, and their children Malayjah and Milan. The lifelong resident also leaves behind his parents, Latrece and Robert Davis, and younger siblings Samirah, Marshall and Hakim.
