A tent that will house the Life in Color New Year’s Eve party at Bader field in Atlantic City is more than 75 percent complete, a spokesman for the event’s promoter said.

The tent is all white but won’t be for long. During the event — to be headlined by electronic dance music artist Steve Aoki — cannons will blast gallons of colorful paint onto the crowd of about 10,000.

The structure — which will be heated — is set up just beyond the outfield fence of Sandcastle Stadium. Cranes hung the tent walls. The tent roof appears to be complete.

“They just have to do some smaller stuff within the tent and get up the sides,” said Jason Bilotti, director of public relations for LineRocket Entertainment. “We’re expecting to be ready to go on time. No problems. Not having issues.”

Life in Color hosts paint parties in cities across the country, but the heated tent is new.

“This will be the first time we’ve tried this tent,” Bilotti said. “That will be the big question mark, as far as how well it keeps everyone warm. If you mix in the fact that we’ll be heating it, and we’ll have close to 10,000 people in the tent, with body temperatures, we’re expecting everything to be fine.”
