Multi-Cultural Heritage Festival set

The resort will hold the three-day Atlantic City Multi-Cultural Heritage Festival that kicks off from 6 to 8 p.m. May 31 with a parade on the Boardwalk, featuring marching bands, drum and bugle corps, drill teams, floats, beauty queens and more.

On June 1, an Old School Concert will take place from 1 to 8 p.m. at Gardner’s Basin. Admission is free. The event moves to Surf Stadium for Party Under the Stars from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Admission is $10.

The festival wraps up June 2 at Surf Stadium with Gospel Fest, featuring John P. Kee. Doors open at noon and admission is free. For information, visit cityofatlanticcity.org.

Deana sings Dino at benefit

Deana Martin, daughter of the late Dean Martin, brings her critically acclaimed show “Deana Sings Dino” to the Circus Maximus Theater at Caesars Casino and Hotel in Atlantic City, at 8:30 p.m. May 31.

Deana Martin takes the audience on a musical journey, honoring her father and other great performers. The performance will benefit the Schultz-Hill Foundation, a private 501(c)3 nonprofit arts and education foundation, serving the Atlantic County region.

Juneteenth celebration planned

2nd Level is holding a Juneteenth celebration in collaboration with the Police Athletic League, Black Arts United, Major Impact Entertainment and South Jersey AIDS Alliance from noon to 8 p.m. June 15 at McClinton Park.

Firefighter union supports JDRF

Pleasantville Professional Firefighters IAFF Local No. 2616 has announced that it raised more than $2,000 for diabetes research during the weekend of April 27-28. The money will be donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.

Greyhound Challenge at high school

The Pleasantville High School athletic department is organizing the Greyhound Challenge.

This event is a three-plus-mile race with a variety of physical challenges and obstacles. Participants can race to compete and complete all obstacles, or leisurely run or walk the course and complete challenges they choose.

Staff, students and community members are invited to participate, by competing, joining in the Fun Run, volunteering, and sponsoring students (each $8 donation allows one student to participate).
