Guardian hosting meet-and-greet BBQ

Mayoral candidate Don Guardian will host a free meet-and-greet barbeque for residents of Atlantic City on Aug. 25 from noon to 3 p.m. at a private home at 1 Atlantic Ave. in the inlet section of the city. The barbecue will feature free food and non-alcoholic beverages, prizes and games for the whole family, a live DJ and more.

Trumpeter Ferguson joining Jazz Vespers

Bob Ferguson will bring his trumpet talents to the Jersey Shore Jazz Vespers’ Aug. 18 performance at Asbury United Methodist church at 1213 Pacific Ave. The show starts at 4 p.m. and refreshments will follow.

Temple Beth Shalom annual bazaar set

Temple Beth Shalom invites the community to donate good, clean merchandise and to shop at its annual bazaar, which will be held at 9 a.m. Aug. 18, rain or shine at the Temple at 45th Street and Brigantine Avenue. There will be a variety of goods on sale like books, dishes, pictures, linens, toys and games, jewelry and more.

Children’s Bingo returns to Temple Beth Shalom

Temple Beth Shalom will sponsor Children’s Bingo nights from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays until Aug. 22 at the temple at 45th Street and Brigantine Avenue. There will be prizes donated by local business, cookies and drinks. The free events are open only to kids ages 7 to 11, and parents are encouraged to accompany their kids.
