Church celebrates black heritage

The Tyree Delaney Missionary Society of St. James African Methodist Episcopal Church will host a black heritage program during its 11 a.m. service on Feb. 17 in memory of the father of black history, Carter G. Woodson. The Rev. James Coaxum III will be the speaker.

The church urges guests to wear African attire, if desired. Feel free to bring family and friends.

Date days planned

Couples looking for an economically friendly way to share a romantic date are invited to the South Inlet in Atlantic City for DeLIGHTful Date Days, through Feb. 17.

Enjoy a climb to the top of the Absecon Lighthouse at two for the price of one.

To get warmed up after your climb, head over to Tony Boloney’s on Oriental Avenue (one block from the lighthouse), where couples can share a complimentary bowl of homemade soup. Lighthouse hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the last climb at 3:30 p.m.
