Art contest set for kids
The Absecon Lighthouse is hosting “Abby and the Arts Birthday Festival and Art Contest” for Atlantic City students in grades six-12.
Cash prizes will be awarded for first and second place for the categories: Drawing/Painting, Photography and Poetry. Submissions will be accepted through 3 p.m. Jan. 6. Winners will be selected by a panel of local artists and arts administrators and will be announced at Absecon Lighthouse at 1 p.m. Jan. 13. The contest is part of the 156-year-old Absecon Lighthouse’s Birthday Festival, celebrated Jan. 13-15.
