Free seedlings for residents

The Brigantine Green Team, along with Public Works, will help distribute free tree seedlings with instruction guides for planting to Brigantine residents on April 5 at the Public Works department, 3605 Bayshore Ave. Start time is 10 a.m. and seedlings will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis.

Basketball players needed

The Keith Strickland's School of Basketball Young Runners' organization is seeking competitive basketball players in fifth to eighth grades for the upcoming 2014 AAU boys' basketball team of Atlantic County. The team will play at a highly competitive level and participate in various exposure and National tournaments.

Practices are held at the Middle School, 801 Mill Road, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Call Coach Townsend at 609-868-9889 or Coach Strickland at 609-412-9087.
