Tilton Fitness offering classes through ARTlantic

This summer, Tilton Fitness is offering complimentary group fitness classes each week through Sept. 22 as part of the Atlantic City Alliance’s ARTlantic Mind, Body, Soul summer community programming.

Tilton Fitness instructors will offer Sunrise PiYo, a fusion of Pilates and yoga techniques designed to build strength and improve flexibility, at 8 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, as well as daily Zumba classes at 10 a.m. The classes will take place in a vacant lot at the corner of California Avenue and the Boardwalk on the newly constructed Gurwicz Stage in Pinnacle Park.

MBCA Summer Mixer set

The Atlantic City Metropolitan Business and Citizens Association will hold its annual summer mixer and silent auction on July 16 (rain date July 18) at the Steel Pier Ocean Pavilion from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Attractions include live entertainment, cash bar and the rides at the pier.

Boardwalk Art Show deadline extended

The Atlantic City Arts Commission and the Noyes Museum of Art of Richard Stockton College invite all artists to the DoArtAc.com Boardwalk Art Show, a revival of the tradition of Boardwalk art shows, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 7 on the Atlantic City Boardwalk.

Free parking, discount lodging and assistance with load-in and -out are available. The event is free and all proceeds from the event will be used for future art events in Atlantic City. Groups of five or more artists from any organization will receive a group rate of $250, and artists who enclose a copy of their student ID will receive a 20 percent discount off the booth fee.

All artwork must be original and created by the artist registering for the show. Entry fee is $75 for a 12-by-12-foot space. Applications can be downloaded at noyesmuseum.org, atlanticcityart.org or doartac.com. Artists must submit five images of their work, an image of their display and a short bio, along with the application and entry fee.

Applications can be mailed to: Noyes Museum of Art of Richard Stockton College c/o Do Art AC Boardwalk Art Show, 733 Lily Lake Road, Oceanville, NJ 08231, along with a CD of five images of art and one image of the display, a short bio and check made out to: The Noyes Museum of Art. There will be $2,000 in prizes awarded.

The deadline for applications has been extended to July 15. The Atlantic City Arts Commission and the Noyes Museum of Art will review all applications and acceptance notifications will be sent out July 30.

Zumba Nation by Alicia has scheduled the annual Stars, Stripes and Zumba event for 13:30 a.m. to noon July 6 at the Brigantine Beach Community Center, 265 42nd St.
