The head of the management team that will operate Resorts Casino Hotel for Mohegan Sun will address the Atlantic City Hotel & Lodging Association on Thursday.
Gary Van Hettinga, president of Mohegan Gaming Advisors, will be the featured speaker at the group’s networking luncheon in the Ballroom at Resorts.

Mohegan Sun will invest an undisclosed amount in Resorts and become a minority owner of Atlantic City’s oldest casino hotel.
Van Hettinga, a veteran of the Atlantic City casino industry, will discuss the opportunities and challenges of operating in the city at this time. Resorts and Mohegan Gaming Advisors are key players in efforts to reinvigorate Atlantic City and its casino industry, along with the addition of Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville entertainment complex and a cross-property marketing programs.
The partnership with the Connecticut-based Mohegan Gaming Advisors represents the first time an Indian-owned casino operator will own and manage a property in Atlantic City.
