Potential improvements for The Pleasantville Bike Path will be reviewed at a public meeting Dec. 6 at the Pleasantville library.

The meeting will be an open house format so residents can view displays of the plan.

The bike path extends from Pleasantville to Somers Point, and connects to Ocean City through the Route 52 Causeway. Each municipality maintains the portion of bike path that runs within its borders.

The meeting was originally planned for Nov. 1 but was cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy. Officials from the state Department of Transportation will be present to review the findings of their study.

The city council has also prepared grant applications seeking funding for lights along the bike path. Pleasantville is the only area without lighting along its path.

The meeting will take place from 5:30-8 p.m. at Martin L. King Jr. Avenue, Room 33.
